Best of 2022 Thanks for sharing - those bird shots are truly beautiful. I can only imagine how much patience, effort and skill went into getting each one!
Originally posted by RICHARD L. Well, 2022 was one of the worst years of my life. I was just getting better from my health scare of Fall 2021 (gall bladder gangrene and generalized infection) when I caught COVID. I was sick like a dog for about 3 weeks and still have breathing difficulties as Winter sets in.
I haven't taken pictures in over 2 months. I have cataracts and I'm waiting to have them removed but I am on a waiting list and the surgery may happen just next Spring.
The farthest I drove from home was about 100 miles (Mauricie Nat'l Park) and I came back with almost nothing worthwhile, except one image taken with my new K3 III.
Only thing new medium-format wise was my purchase of a 645 FA 35 mm f/3.5 AL, which proved to be "more than excellent" on the 645Z (see 4 images below).
I hope 2023 brings more autonomy, a return to my former shape and plenty of new pictures.
Wishing you a better 2023, Richard - you certainly deserve it, my friend :-)
Originally posted by mikeSF Ed, a fine idea and I surely enjoy revisiting your Top 100 images from 2022 - you have some stellar captures!
Sadly, a look through my flickr stream shows I only managed to shoot 9 photos in 2022, and 4 of those were from the same outing. Yikes, I really need to step it up!

Many thanks indeed, my friend. Appreciated.
Someone of your gifts should certainly spend more time exercising them - 2023 is the time!
