25mm AlL (IF) SDM AW will not auto focus

I have purchased a s/h SMC Pentax - DA645 1:4 25mm AL (IF) SDM AW & it will not autofocus on my 645z, while my other lenses do. The switch on the lens is set to AF, but it will not AF. I have also tried it using live view & it still there is no AF. It will focus manually. I have been in touch with the seller & they had the same problem when they bought the lens, but they can't remember what they did to get the AF working on their 645z. Has anyone any suggestions on what I need to do, to get the AF working?

Sounds like the motor in the lens is dead.

Check the firmware in the 645Z is current. Check the contacts on the lens. Contact the seller for a refund or refund of the cost of a repair if it can still be done.
