P67 short tele, 150/2.8 or 165/2.8?

Looking for a short tele. Can anyone tell me how these compare in terms of WO ( or near WO) sharpness, contrast, Bokeh? The 150 SMC can be had for under $100, which makes it tempting. Also, any idea how they perform reversed on a bellows? Thanks.

I have had the 150 Super Takumar for many years. It is pretty sharp wide open but does really well at f/8. Both the 165 and 150 are Double Gauss designs and because of this, they do well in macro work. I have never reversed my 150. Both have an f/22 smallest stop and I find this somewhat limiting for macro work. They really need f/45. As far as contrast is concerned, I suggest the SMC version, not the Super Takumar; even tho the Super Takumar's contrast is not bad. From what I've heard, the 165 and 150 are similar in performance. I use my 90-180 zoom, so my 150 doesn't get used much anymore. The zoom is a better lens.
