New Velvia 50 vs old Velvia 50

I haven't tried any of the "new" Velvia 50 since it was re-introduced. I liked the old 50 for some subjects. How are they different? I know Fuji claimed that the new 50 required different materials, so it's supposedly not just the old 50 brought back.
Any thoughts?

I haven't used the old Velvia 50 so I can't tell you what the differences are. But, I love the new one, especially in MF.

Same issue Surfy...only experienced with the old Velvia 50 and still have about 50 rolls of 120 and 40 rolls of 35mm in the freezer. Not sure when I'll spring for the new stuff (dozens of rolls of E100VS, E200, Provia 100, Provia 400 etc. etc. etc. in the freezer so no new purchases planned right away).

Ron, Any experience with Velvia 100 (not 100F)? I'm out of my old Velvia 50, but I can get a few bricks that have been frozen.

Sorry for the tardy reply, been coaching, shooting digital (ho hum) and writing articles at wrestling nationals for more than a week. Had several images published in a bunch of newspapers...that's always fun. Weary coach now home...

I've shot a few dozen rolls of the 100F, none of the newer 100.

I guess I've become Mr. Old School as time passes me by. So I not only still shoot film, but I shoot the non-current emulsions too. I guess I could go back to painting pictographs on rocks, but I'm actually pretty happy with my old school ways. I'll update when required...

Ron, you're not the only one. I have a ton of Ultra 50 and Supra 100 in the freezer so haven't bought film for a while.
