I am starting to shoot with a Mayima 645 that's been laying around for a few years (given to me with some lenses, etc.) and needed a bag. Without starting yet another "what kind of bag" thread. I thought that I'd post something about what I found, in case anyone else has similar criteria. I use a shoulder bag for my DSLR (s) as that is the only type of bag that I am comfortable with. For the 645, I wanted a bag that would hold the camera with a lens mounted, another lens and some small bits & pieces. It had to hold the camera snugly, be padded and top opening; not a backpack. Needed to be fairly sturdy, water repellent and reasonable quality, without costing a bundle; I expect to take it from the car, to the shoot and back, not walk around with it. I came across a line of bags called Ape Case (you can get them through Amazon; mine was on sale at Atlex, but not listed on their site), that I had never heard of. I got the medium bag, which fulfills all of my criteria and cost about $40. The bag is a bit fussy, in that it has a lot of buckles and zippers;not a problem for me as I don't need quick access. One interesting bit is that the inside is a bright yellow nylon type fabric, that makes it pretty easy to see/find the little things that drop to the bottom.
Hope this is helpful to anyone looking for something similar.
