Seems our hot weather is still holding up for a bit longer... It was actually the hottest March on record here, average >31 degrees C.

I do like the first one and just wish for a little bit more sky at the top.
I am sure that it is not easy to move around to get the best vantage in a canyon

Cheers,

Really nice pictures on this page.

Gary, I didn't think Scio was large enough to have a West side. Nice to see shots of the area.

Thanks, Tuco, actually Scio and West Scio are about 4 miles apart. Scio is one of the first ten incorporated cities in Oregon. West Scio is a non incorporated community. Years ago West Scio had several mills(one left) and a train station. As the depot was still in good condition, it was moved to Scio and made into a museum.

There were several stations along this line, Crabtree, Gilkey, West Scio, Shelburn, Stayton, on up to Mill City. Both freight and passengers. Now the train makes a couple runs a week hauling lumber from Mill City.

This water tank and a few houses are all that is left of the Shelburn, OR rail yard.

I do like this shot - there is something very appealing in the simplicity of the geometrical forms over the sky. Plus the contrast yelloy/blue.

Cheers,

Luc
