Very nice. If you haven't tried it yet you could consider printing these large on canvas, they really come to life.

Even in small rooms they extend the perceived space of the room, like a window with a vista view.
Thanks and yeah, this one may get printed. I do some canvas and some metal. Fun to see them come to life that way.

Great photos of the old Mumbles lifeboat station. Remember it well from circa 1950 when I went to Sketty school. My uncle Carl used to work on the lifeboat.

If you decide to print copies of this magnificent work, I would love to purchase a copy, or failing that receive permission to print a copy.

Magical light and image. Four shot pano must have all kinds of detail. Needs to be printed large.

Thanks for sharing,

Lochan na Stainge - 645z and 28-45

Wider crop although I quite like the big sky look - something the 4:3 shape sensor allows more of.

Technically this is better as a composition - but I prefer the above shot.

And this I am ok with

645Z + 645 A 45 mm f/2.8. Who said this was a very poor performing lens ?

Taken as a test shot for my new GFX100S, using Pentax 645 55mm DFA lens and Fotodiox adaptor.

Rocks at Turimetta Beach in Sydney's north.

[IMG][/IMG]

I am happy to report that the camera operated well with an external power source. I like the ability to manually set long exposure times in manual mode; not only does this avoid the need to time things in Bulb mode, it also makes those shutter speeds available for the continuous shooting; in this case, I used 1 minute files.

The camera won't allow 16-bit mode in continuous shooting mode, so the lit scene was shot on ISO640 for 15 minutes (16-bit). The sky was shot using ISO2000 using a stack of 1-minute files (14-bit).

I'll have to see what I can do to reduce the gaps in the trails. Perhaps a setting or two can be tweaked...

Looks nice. Congrats with the new camera. Perhaps you can give us some updates on how the P645 & P67 lenses perform with with the 100s.

The Hong Kong Eagle

I looked for the Eagle earlier this year but it seems as if it skipped HK. Hopefully it comes again this Winter. Here are a couple of pictures from 2019-01 I re-edited. Distance about 500m away.

645z + A* 600mm

I certainly shall. That shot was with the 55DFA. Tonight, I'm shooting with the 90DFA. Should work my way through all the lenses I have eventually!

Hi,

I, too, am interested in how the P645 lenses work on the GFX. Although in my case I'm eyeballing the original 50s and the 645z on the used market. Of course, I *want* a 100 or 100s but can't pony up even the amount of dough for the 100s much less the 100.

And, heck, I'm not even shooting this year. Oddball business needs mean I don't have the time to go afield and shoot any further lighthouses. As it is, the 645D is more than sufficient for spending most of its time in the bag....

I haven't even had time to head to the NC coast showing off what I do have at the arts and crafts events.
