Yesterday was a very hazy day, partly cloudy, cold (for HK standards), and in the late afternoon the last of the sun for the day broke through some openings in the clouds, creating a spectacle of highlights. I had to stop and enjoy the moment.

I didn't take my Pentax 67 on this trip to Bandon Beach, Oregon, but instead these two. I just purchased a new Benro Tortoise 34C tripod and managed to lose one of the screw-on rubber feet already. I'm bummed.

That 2nd shot is one of the best I have seen in a long time. Wonderful!

I like the first one best---it's an odd shot, a bit weird.

Yeah, them pesky tripod feet....

I've gone through a few sets. Generic replacements on Amazon pretty cheap.

I started looking already. The feet on this tripod are pretty wide at about 34mm with a 3/8" stud that has a hex key Allen wrench built into it.

I lost a foot from my Benro Adventure Series tripod not too long ago and had a hard time getting a response from Benro initially. Once I got corresponding with someone I was able to get new feet (only in a set of 3 so now I have spares) as well as a replacement cam lock that I somehow broke and a replacement weight hook that had worked loose at some point and fallen off.
My tripod also came with spike feet so I just used those until the replacements came to keep the threads clean.

To save you some trouble, the person who helped me was Julio Quintanilla - julioq@macgroupus.com.

Good luck!

Thanks for the input, Matt. I found some that are a close match at 30mm dia. And I found some 50mm diameter feet that look good for sandy beaches. I ordered both sets.

I like the second picture, looks so other-worldly, or Icelandic.

Great shots, thanks for sharing.

That second image is outstanding. I like the first one too, of course, but the second blows me away. I can only imagine what a big print of it would look like on 6x17 format. Can't decide if the main rock is phallic or reminiscent of an Easter Island head. But the composition, the mood, the tones. Stunning. Well done, my friend.
