You may recognise this sky from a shot I posted here a couple of days ago. Decided to use it again in a composite image...
Both shots taken with 645Z. Sky with 67 400mm EDIF lens. Bridge shot with 90mm DFA.

For me the b&w version works better, the layers of mountains in the fog is nicer.

Very nicely done and very effective backdrop.

Thanks, Theuns!

What about this then?

Same 645Z + 90mm DFA shot for the scene. GFX100S with Pentax 645 55mm DFA for the sky.

Naaaa, I like the 645z version... Is much more aesthetically pleasing to my eyes and mind... :-)

They both include a 645Z file (the scene with the bridge and Opera House)); only the night sky frame is GFX100S. But I nonetheless prefer the colour shot too... Just more visually pleasing in this case, but not because of the gear used to shoot it of course!

The colour is very good indeed.

I've never actually blended or replaced a sky like this - how does it work with files of different sizes - a 645z is 8256px accross, a GFX100s is 11,000 or so.

I assume these pictures are from the Spanish Pyrenees. An area that is on my bucket list. Maybe next year.

Very nice, thank you for sharing.

100% - all within the Ordesa Y Monte Perdido national park - bar the last actual - that's Posets Maladeta NP but it's very close.

If you go onto my blog on my site Blog - SFT Photography you can read more about the area.

I need to update that badly with the new stuff tbh.

At first look I liked the colour version, but after a while the BW version made more of an impact, somehow the details are more prominent and definitely has more character. So I changed my mind, I like the BW version more.

Thank you for sharing.
