I woke up by accident at the right time mainly because I needed the loo. I looked out the window and noticed mist on Windermere, so hurriedly got dressed, and grabbed the camera with the 35 - 70 on it. Didn't bother getting the tripod out of the car as the light changes too quickly, so decided to stay mobile...

Nice panorama. It's a pity some crane(s) don't exactly align after the stitch, which would be visible on a large print.

From a few months ago, Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse in the late afternoon.

Leaf Credo 60, Pentax 28-45mm. Can't remember what focal length, probably at the longer end. Focus stacked, with perspective correction applied in post.

A lot less, and a lot wider than a Pentax 28-45. And designed around 100mp bodies.

To me, this is the nail in the coffin for digital Pentax MF stuff. They just haven't released newer versions to match their current digital line up.
Park Cameras are expecting theirs early next week, but they aren't allowed to send them out until 29th. I am no 2 in line, and will pick mine up as I will be in London. I am selling Park my 32 - 70, the 23 and perhaps also the 50. It will leave me with a few hundred in surplus. The 35 - 70 is surprisingly good. Like I say, I haven't used the 32 - 64 since I got it.

I feel like I'm getting better at using my 645 A* 300/4 on the 50r. Nice light tonight for it as well.

Some garden pictures of a pretty grass, which will have to go after this season, since it is an invasive species and will take over.

Pic 1 & 2: 645z + P67 400mm M* f/4 + Grey 1.4TC (560mm)

Pic 3: 645z + P67 400mm M* f/4 + Grey 2.0TC + Grey 1.4TC (1120mm)

I did these handheld for a reality check (for myself) and I think it is possible with some more training. At the moment I can do about 10 shots, then I need to rest my arm for a while. Using it on a tripod is of course the best, but circumstances may not always allow that. As an alternative I'm looking at a beanbag, which may be even better than a tripod because it should help to dampen vibrations as well.

The detail on the grass came out very well, although the DoF is very shallow despite the lens aperture setting being at f/11.
