This was a canera trick, trying to find something creative to do with the effects of the electronic shutter on a Fuji GFX100s
Hi,

I have seen many a barn which look like that with the Mark-I Eyeball! :P

This 645-A* 300/4 has a very short throw and focuses beyond infinity which makes it hard to focus. While still not easy, I'm finding more consistent results on the GFX 50r with it than with the 645D.
Hi,

Interesting observation. Not unexpected. I'm now eyeballing the 100 MP models with the idea of shooting with my Pentax lenses. I surely wish Pentax would come out with a 100 MP version. I'd say Hint, Hint, but it would be useless. Ha! Maybe if I said it in all caps?

And I'd keep the 645D I think. Just in case I need the auto focus option which is lost with an adapter.

Yeah I only had 2 AF lenses for the D, the 45-85 and the 80-160. I decided to sell those and (mostly) cover those ranges with native Fuji lenses. I got the 32-64 and 100-200 which are both really nice. That gap between 64 and 100 has so far not been a problem. I plan to get the 20-35 as well. Not having anything wider than 35mm on the D would keep me from using it in some situations so I'm looking forward to having that range (and then some) on MF and doing it a lot cheaper than I would have with Pentax.
I still have a few more manual focus 645 lenses I could adapt but so far I have not gone through them all to see how they perform. The 300 is great when I can nail it and it also covers a range not even available as a native lens. Doing primarily landscape work makes it easy enough to use for those kinds of shots too.

Hey Stan !

To my knowledge, only the River Rouge in Detroit (near the Ford Smelting Plant) ever caught fire in the U.S. ... LOL !

I believe there was another in Cleveland a few months before the Rouge. Read about halfway down in the article.

They said at the time "If you fall into those rivers, you decompose before you drown" ... LOL Seriously the "Clean Water Act" helped improve the water quality somewhat. The Niagara River is still covered with 2 feet of foam in some bends, so there is still work to be done.
