View from Dee Why over the local lagoon to Long Reef (in Sydney's Northern Beaches).

By the time of this shot, the sun had set.

I went for a short trip to a Norman Castle ruin not far from home - Ogmore Castle. My wife and I had quite a lot of our wedding photos done here in similar conditions, though that was in May 2003. I went with the view to return here on a clear night with some moonlight to get a star trail with the castle lit by moonlight.

Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, about half an hour after sunrise. Leaf Credo 60 and Mamiya 55mm. Both are single exposures, from memory. First photo edited a lot warmer than the second.

Sunrise in a rift at the "Breakfast Holes" at Black Point, one of three places in Western Australia where a shelf of basalt columns breaks the surface ( and likely the most dramatic of the three ). All shot with Leaf Credo 60 and Pentax 28-45mm. All are blended. The shot of the basalt wall is focus stacked.

Sunset at a bay near The Stepping Stones, Black Point. Sandstone here rather than basalt, although the headland in the distance is basalt columns. Both shots taken with Credo 60 and Pentax 28-45mm. Both are focus stacked.

Late arvo and sunset from two different days at the old jetty ruins at Hamelin Bay. Glad to get some good shots here. Leaf Credo 60, Pentax 28-45mm for first and third photo, Samyang 24mm T/S for the second. First and second photos are single exposure, third is exposure blended.

Some shots at the Karri Trees and ferns at Boranup Forest, which is recovering from bush fires from earlier this year ( or was it last year?? Time goes by so quickly ). Some spots seemed to have been skipped over by the fires, and looked much lusher than other spots. Either way, it was rather sad to have seen the area scrubbed clean by the fires, and very nice to see the green coming back again.

Leaf Credo, and a mix of lenses. The shots of Caves Road are with the Mamiya 80mm L/S, the rest are with the Pentax 28-45mm. Most are focus stacked. The second road shot is a vertical pano of two shots.

We're on the road to nowhere. Well not quite - between Salt Lake City and Jackson, Wyoming. Decided to drive from SLC rather than fly direct (from San Francisco). Worth it,

Pentax 645N / Ektachome 100. Slides are bad news to the wallet :-)
