Pity I can't make this any bigger on flickr, but for this pano of Chemnitz from my hotel's roof garden is 12 shots with the Pentax 645D and FA 120 f/4 all shots at f/16 and 1/4 sec The full file is too big for a .tif file at 4.8 GB. It took 3 hours to process on my MacBook pro.

Took a walk down to local lake as the afternoon turned into evening:

Pentax 645D FA 120 converted to black and white on silver efex

Pentax 645D FA 120 f/11 25 secs ISO 320

This is a two shot stitch in CS5 and also using fusion in Photomatix. It's the Bridge over the Mosel (the other pano being the Rhine) in Koblenz

Pentax 645D FA 120 f/4 at f/11

The River police are out!

Pentax 645D FA400 at f/5.6 1/400 ISO 250

Heh, thanks!

45mm at closest focus can be deceiving! These were taken on holiday in Wales and while the various fowl kept by the owners of the cottage we stqayed in were fun to watch, they weren't so fun at 6am!

It seems this seller is the best way to get one quickly... the price was under 5,600 USD a few weeks ago... but with corresponding taxes if your not based in Japan :

*New* SMC Pentax D FA DFA 645 25mm F/4 AL (IF) SDM lens 645D 645 D 25/F4 | eBay

I've given up on ebay. Mainly because of issues with PayPal who want me to send them several forms of ID including a callback on the phone. I spend a lot of time away from home so am never at the end of my home phone. So I can't make payments by sensible methods on ebay. Might be back in Japan in April so hopefully get it then, I'll just have to stitch photos instead!

Here's the Frauenkirche again in Dresden, adjusted contrast in Silver efex pro 2

This one is awesome, it looks like a cartoon-painted B&W photography.
Is the night lighting something recent ? When I was in Dresden ten years ago, I do not remember seeing it as well lit as it is.

Hi, Im doing some test scans with the Epson V750 I just got and the SilverFast Ai that came with it, here is a 6400 dpi (..that would produce a 150X120 cm print!) scaled down to 17%. Have a look

6400dpi_Test1_8bit_17%size_srgb | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

or the ‘original‘ 17% size here (I didnīt ICE it, just cleaned it a bit, so itīs dirty):

Nice shot. But scan at 2400dpi and it will look the same just that your max print size is smaller as well as the file size.
