Last Kauai pic

Last pic from our vacation in Kauai - still processing at the condo on the macbook air, so apologies for any color calibration issues.....

Shot on 645D / 35mm (and yes, the colors on the Rainbow Eucalyptus is for real - they are amazing)

I found your post from Mijonju blog several months ago and was impressed by your project. Glad to see you are a PF member too.
You could embed your photo here and I am sure they are impressive.

Having had some issues with our Audi, and finding the Audi dealership we bought the car from unhelpful and as the warranty had just ran out, we decided to change our car. Gave the car it's first run out down the Gower, and while I took some shots in the rain and wind (the morning had started promisingly with sun) my wife sat in the car;

The sun stayed out all day today and I grabbed this shot from our roof (a flat roof so no I wasn't sat on a sloping roof!)

Pentax 645D FA 400 @ f/16 blended a few exposures and tweaked in levels

Nice series. The night scene in #3 has some good DR.

Beautiful photos! I like all but the first one. Not that it isn't a masterfully done shot of the wall, but there's an X5 in the way.

Back up in the lakes again and the weather has been fantastic today, just need to be more organised and get out earlier but there was some nice light late afternoon and as the evening fell, a swan family came to the edge of Grasmere...

This is the view of Grasmere from the end of the path from Rydal when the weather is calm it's always a good spot.

Pentax 645D FA 33-55 at 39mm f/11 1/200 ISO 250

Teatime (although I had no tea!) and the moon is just over half full

Pentax 645D FA 400 f/8 1/60 ISO 100

This was taken right at the end of the day as the light completely faded alongside Rydal water

Pentax 645D FA120 macro f/11 30 secs ISO 125

Just at the end of Grasmere some Swans came to look after their gosling who had been exploring the Rothay:

Pentax 645D FA 120 f/8 1/100 ISO 640

Pentax 645D FA 120 f/6.7 1/100 ISO 640

and the Gosling:

Kakumanbuchi Marsh on top of Mt. Akagi in Gunma Prefecture, Japan
Shot with the Asahi Pentax 67 on Velvia 100F (can't remember which lens)

The next two were taken from the Koborinai Fishing Harbor in Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture, Japan six months after the tsunami ravaged this coastline.
The highest tsunami waves in all of Japan were recorded in this exact location on March 11th, reaching an unbelievable 37.9 meters as the waves were funneled into this small harbor.
Taken with the 645N on Velvia 100F.

Wasdale and Wast water are always awkward for me to get to as I don't drive so with the assistance of a Lake District based friend I finally managed to see the majestic Wasdale Valley (after a hair=raising trip over icy Wrynose pass, and then we turned back on Hardnott Pass as was completely iced over - but a breathtaking drive nonetheless). The scenery in this valley is breathtaking!

Pentax 645D FA 33-55 at 55mm f/16 1/60

a wider view:

Pentax 645D FA33-55 at 33mm f/11 1/100 ISO 200

We heard that there was good beer t be found at the Wasdale Head inn so headed in that direction (the prediction was accurate - and worth the 8 mile round trip) here are a few shots on the way

Pentax 645D FA 33-55mm at 33mm f/11 1/125 ISO 200

closer to the small village:

FA33-55 at f/11 1/100 ISO 200

After a pint and a packet of crisps we headed back, and I tool this shot of a cottage at the head of te valley with Great Gable behind it

Pentax 645D FA33-55 at 43mm f/11 1/100 ISO 200

Then the evening started to fall

Pentax 645D FA 33-55 at f/11 1/125 ISO 400
