Thank you all. This interface robbed these samples of color and contrast to varying degrees...ah, well. Here's a new one from Lake Tahoe.

Out in N. Portland. There are a few bars like this in PDX with stocked coolers, just browse the selection, choose your brew........then find someone licensed and qualified to open your beer for you Still kinda cool though, places like this always have a diverse selection or bottles/cans. This may be one of the more creative labels I have seen.

Wow so it's not just the gas stations eh? That's so funny. That was big culture shock for me my first trip to OR last year when I got rebuked for trying to pump my own gas.

Great shot!

Thanks!

Yeah, you can grab whatever you want out of the cooler, just don't open it yourself......or else Coming from MN it took me a while to get used to the gas attendants and not being allowed to pump my own gas. Sometimes it's nice (would have also been nice in MN when it's -10 below) but when stations are busy I wish I could just get it done myself.

I do like these beer bars though.....fun to check out the labels, read the stats, and see where they all come from.

Nice shot of my favorite palace in Vienna, which seems stylish and cosy by comparison with the Hofburg and The Schonbrunn.

Thanks! I waited for a quarter of an hour in the rain for the sun to come out with my camera and tripod set up. Then an attendant came and tried to chase me away because I had no official permission to shoot there, but I pleaded so convincingly that he let me get my shot.

Last Sunday me and my wife took a little walk along the lake of Zurich. At one place there are some musicians playing their instruments to enjoy the people (and earn some money…). I took some shots of the musicians but when we were already leaving the spot I saw the following image by turning my head. The people in the foreground are the audience of the musicians who are invisible in the picture. Just a statue of Ganymede overtops the crowd, which gives the pictures a slightly strange effect…

Yep I agree, something you can't do with a colour negative.
