P6x7

There is so much good work to be seen in this thread, and I have so much to learn. Photos from the 645D seem to be shockingly good, but I love the old film stuff, too. I struggle along trying to get to grips with my Pentax 6x7. It's a great camera, but all too often I'm not able to produce the images that I see in my mind. But when things work out, it's great. Here are some images from my latest roll: #1 Circus Baldoni. smc Pentax 6x7 45mm. Ilford FP4+ developed in D-76 1+3. 1/125 sec. @F9.5; #2 Walkpath. smc Pentax 67 165mm F2.8. Ilford FP4+ dev. in D-76 1+3. 1/125 sec. @ F5.6; and #3 Aslan. smc Pentax 67 165mm F2.8. Ilford FP4+ dev. in D-76 1+3. 1/125 sec. @ F4.0

More film on film action. The view is through a Pentax LX 35mm with waist lever finder. Shot with my Hasselblad 500cm / 80mm C T* lens and extension tube on T-Max 400.

Quick question.
I don't have a medium format camera, but I like to use Pentax 67 lenses on my Nikon.
Are their images welcome here?
Cheers

The pictures are certainly welcome on the site, but maybe not on this thread as this is for medium format, which I think Nikon has never made (though they've made MF lenses for other camera manufacturers). We're always happy to see what Pentax lenses can do, even on other systems. While quite Pentax-centric, there are plenty of photos from other systems in this thread, which doesn't specify that pictures have to be taken with Pentax gear. I think you'll find that most of the film photographers on this site also have gear from other manufacturers. I myself also use Yashica, Zeiss Ikon, Olympus and Franka cameras.

Thanks Jonathan.
Is there a more appropriate thread.

This thread started out as film since there was no 645D at the time. And since there wasn't that many film shooters with some users having multiple MF cameras I think we just started posting any medium format just to keep the thread moving along. Film shooter naturally don't snap the volume and frequency as does the digital sections. But it was eventually renamed when the 645D came out.

I'm still struggling with getting the colors right from the Kodak Portra 400. Any advice welcome.

I went through the phase of trying to do negatives this way. I was not happy with the results. I could never get colours right. I got a scanner and I saved lots of time. Not to mention I got nicer shadow and highlight detail.
