In fact, she is my only subject. lol.
I guess not many people can stand the time it took for me to focus, find the angle, check exposure, .... still learning to use the beast and glad she is patient.
As I wanted prints, and have to ship out to develop, it cost close to $2 for a frame, so I stick to taking portrait as I am learning as to not burning too much bills.

Nice shot! Just perused your flickr a bit too and glad to see you doing well with the 4870. I have one (4870) but have never scanned negs with it before and will be doing so soon... Although I'll be starting with 35mm until I can get into a MF system. I'm guessing it may not do as well with 35mm..

It's not a bad scanner for the price - I print up to A3+ from it from 6x7 negs, and I think it's more than adequate for that. If you can get the film flat, it's ok for 35mm up to 5x7-ish I reckon.

In terms of dynamic range and colour, the trick is to get it as right as possible in the scanning software before PP - I use VueScan.

Good luck!

Thanks for the Vuescan tip! I would have just been using the Epson app.

Late Halloween fun

Having some fun with my dad and an old Halloween costume in the park. The light was interesting so there is no manipulation to the colours besides white balance.

Pentax 645D with the 55mm 2.8.

Looks like you got some really nice fall portraits. I like the photo of the photos layout with the Pentax/text.....You get an overview of the roll, info about how/where it was shot and we get to look at that nice Pentax Well done!

Thanks!
As this is only my 2nd roll, I want to keep a record of my film journey.... maybe down the line I will just get the negative develop without the prints to save some $$.

Still learning about the camera and film used. 3rd roll is halfway and for this roll I used Fujifilm Pro 400H. Can't wait!
