Im sure you had to move quick on this shot. Really nice exposure, I can still see that fabric lines in her white dress. They are lucky to have such an awesome film photograph from their wedding day.

Really nice photo, I need to make it out to the coast for some B/W with the Hasselblad.

Thanks. Yes, there are some good photo spots on Oregon's coastline. Lincoln City is not far from you. On a low tide you can make it around a bluff on the north end of town and some really interesting opportunities open up.

Nice. Thanks for not doing the slow time on the water. Your water looks like one sees it, not some strange liquid or cotton wool. I hope that fad soon passes along with seeing who can have the shallowest depth of focus..
you sound old, possibly grumpy.

One of my life's guiding principles, which includes never making fun of someone's singing, is that everyone is entitled to like what they like, as long as nobody forces it on anyone else.

I don't begrudge arnold for his tastes, but I don't share them either. I love soft water. And shallow DOF.

I need some crazy neutral density filters and slow film so I can do a shallow DOF slow water shot on my 8x10.

For higher contrast conditions and BW film, you can utilize the method of compressing highlights to slow your film way down. As much as 3 stops. Then with a 9 to 10 stop ND + colored colored filter you can achieve some pretty slow shutter speeds at f16 and f19. You can get slower times on your 8x10 since the format and lenses easily support going f32 to f64.

A while back I Posted A Long Exposure using 100ACR at ISO 12 using a NDX400 + Orange at f16 and got a 120 second exposure in the late afternoon on a sunny day. Your 8x10 probably could have gotten 960 seconds at f45. And if you used a film that needed reciprocity correction, that time could even more than double.

Here are a few shots from my recent shoot at a winery. The first and last were the DFA25mm and the middle two are with the SMC A-120 Macro on the 645D.

Here are a few shots I got while my nephew and I were out hiking a couple weeks ago. The winds were really blowing, to say the least (70+ mph) I got knocked off my feet during a couple of gusts and my tripod didn't work too well. The winds blew the heavy duty tripod right over (luckily I caught my camera before it hit the ground).

Despite all that, It was a fun day on the mountain. I'll take rain, snow or high winds any day in the high country compared to the best of days in the flat lands

These were shot with my Mamiya RB67 medium format film camera. Taken on Foma 100 and developed in Rodinal at 50:1

+1!

An excellent way to be, and quite similar to my own!

Thanks! Here is a shot from the same roll at Lost Lake. There are mostly evergreens skirting the lake shore, but I was able to find a few pockets of nice fall foliage.

Shot with my Hasselblad 500cm and 80mm C T* on Portra 160
Very nice range of colors and textures.
