A few scans from a former lurker

I have enjoyed this site for many years and decided today to become a supporting member. I still shoot 645 and have three bodies and spent 11 years buying every lens for the system including the 600mm.
Long time lurker, long time pentax 645 user, long time Velvia lover. Started scanning in some old Velvia shots.

One of my favorite subjects, moving water.

itshimitis (or anyone else with the 25mm DA lens): - sorry to be so dense, but just to confirm the 40.5mm filter - you are saying that the filter holder is attached to the lens and the filter simply screws to it, instead of being able to remove the filter holder, correct? Sing Ray wants me to send them the filter holder before they will make a filter for me, but if the holder does not remove, that means I would have to ship them the entire lens for proper fit - I have to make a decision on this custom filter before I get the lens so I'm just trying to make sure what my options are. For other lenses with drop-in filters I've owned all had a removable filter holder that the filter screwed to so I could have an extra one with a filter already attached for quick change.

Thanks for the info….

Ah, the old "mail us your $5K lens and we will make you a filter" trick...

The filter holder comes out like a cassette, into which the filter can be screwed. Why couldn't you just send Singh Ray one of the filters that fits and have them match the specs?

good luck!

Thanks Mike - so the holder IS removable after all. Does anyone know what this part # is? (can't find anything on the manufacturer site) I've always had extra filter holders so the switch is much faster when needing to change, which I do frequently. I don't know if Sing Ray normally makes these sorts of filters and I guess they just wanted to make sure it fit the holder correctly. I would also think just sending them a filter would work, but they requested the holder.

Welcome to the forum and to the medium format thread. You have every 645 lens available? A series or FA or both?

645 lenses

Jonathon Mac,

The A series lenses only. Got the list and spent 11 years getting all of them. I looked for the 600mm for three years and finally bought it on ebay from Israel. None get enough use but hope to spend more
time shooting soon.

Some more from lakeland. Despite it being early afternoon, the intermittent clouds meant the light was quite nice:

All with Pentax 645Z and FA 45 - 85 + Big Stopper and 0.9 GND

1.

2.

2nd black and white image my favorite; shadows cast by mountain verging on abstraction.

I'm not that big of a fan of double exposures, but I think this one is very clever and executed really well!

Thanks! I've gotten bored with my regular photography so I am in an experimental Holga phase right now.

Here's another double from July 4th:
