Thanks mate! Star trails in an urban area are certainly tricky to pull off, but with Australia's clear skies it's just possible :-)

What's your viewpoint for no 5? Are you in one of the buildings around Circular Quay?

Nice landscape @jrpower10

I like to go hiking on the Oregon Sand Dunes. Every time I hike past these guys, I snap their portrait. I call them The Living And The Dead. I think I have 5 years worth now and this year one from my Pentax 67, 55/4 and 400TMY.

No one has commented on either of your excellent B+W's, so I will. Kudos. Really excellent, and the subtleties of tonality in the sky and the dunes of the second are especially impressive.

Actually texandrews, I have commented a couple of times on those . With one member tending to saturate this thread with 645Z output (however fine) it's good to give others a plug.

Why thanks. You're too kind. I like the tonal scale I get from sheet film even more.

My apologies if I have over-posted in the last day or so. In my defence, I can only say that I post only very seldom, so the total amount posted is actually quite small.

Great impact for those 645D images! What RAW processor do you use?

I find that when I check the jpeg output (even the 1* quality ones) that they have so much more impact than the RAW files, yet I always shoot in RAW.
Hi!

I was on a business trip in the area (for winter olympics 2022), and I only had my work computer, so it was jpeg straight from the camera, and some adjustment in MS Office 2010 editor, nothing fancy at all. The raw files are still to be edited, maybe I'll update with some posting after that. :-)

Apologies if my post was offensive to anyone - it was NOT a lateral reference to you Ed Hurst!

Your photos are beautiful (as are the others on this thread). This is one of my favorite threads and I appreciate all those (both digital and film photographers) who share their work with the rest of us who are still shooting smaller formats.

Hi!

I use Aperture, UFRaw or PDCU. I like working with Aperture, too bad it's discontinued.

Thanks! I haven't used any of those myself.
