Thanks! I was having trouble deciding if the cloud blowout kills it.

I'm always a little amazed at the clarity of people's shots from their airliner windows. My windows seem to always be pretty crappy, too much so to shoot through and expect a reasonable shot.

While these are good, what would impress me most is if you could have shot them through an open window while in the air....

Hey, welcome, Mansoor! Nice to see a shot from a different sort of environment---let's see some more. We seem to have a lot of Scots here in this forum, shooting that wonderful place. Although it does make me feel better about the extravagance of my Z purchase, since Scots are notoriously "thrifty", or maybe just tight, in plain speak. So maybe my purchase really was a thrifty one in the long run....I can maybe use the Scots evidence in my arguments when justifying my expenses, especially to my wife?

Pentax 645n images

I recently added two Pentax 645 cameras to my collection, a 645 and a 645n body with 45mm f/2.8 and 80-160 zoom lens. 15 or 16 exposures on a 120 roll is a nice number that lets you go out and shoot and finish off a roll the same day. I still develop my own black and white using chemicals readily available online from places like Freestyle Sales Co. or ultrafineonline.com. Then, I scan the negatives with my flatbed Canon 9950f CanoScan. I scan them as color negatives which gives then a nice, sepia tone initially. Then, I tweak the scans with my favorite photo editing program to remove dust, sharpen, adjust exposure, etc. I've been shooting some 20+ years outdated 120 black and white film and find it still can give usable images. Attached is an example of a photo taken with the 645n with 45mm lens and O2 filter.

lol. Might get a bit cold then! I did the opposite of what I normally do in landscape, open up the aperture to around f/5.6 put the lens into ManuaL focus and focus at around infinity.

Welcome and nice photo! You've also just inspired me to start photographing the ice formations around town with my 645!

So I got the chance to take some images of my friend Gabriella this weekend. Using my Pentax 6x7 and Rolleicord V with Kodak Ektar. Scanned on a Epson V600.

I like this photograph very much. The lighting and composition are both well done.

I also tried cropping the sky out...and just focused on the sand. That also came out well.

Mike great work as usual. Question do you still find use for the 645D? I'm very close to re-adding one to go with my 654Z. Going through some of my D photos I find myself taken by the character the D has.
