Hi Texandrews. I live in Ocean City. I was driving back from Alexandria, VA on Saturday (went to see Arlo Guthrie on Friday nite). These shots were taken using my Pentax 645z with the 28-45 zoom. The rig is a bit heavy, but takes great shots.

OK, cool to find someone else here in MD with a Z. Nice that you have the 28-45. Be a long time before I have that, but I'm pretty happy with the set of lenses I've got. Yes, the rig is heavy, but I like its handling. One of these days when I get to go surf fishing again I'll get in touch. Arlo Guthrie? I didn't know he'd been in town (I work in DC). That's a trip.

I picked up the 28-45 during the annual Pentax lens sale; it was either 20% or 25% off list. Still a lot of money, but hey, if I didn't buy lenses, I would probably just spend the money foolishly.

Great - if you're going to be in the area, drop me a note; we can quaff a brew or two.

You've done amazing photos with the K cameras, as I could see on your web site, but here I can see the camera enable to unleash more of your talent. Whenever I visit your gallery of photos, it amazes and we tend to stay on the site for longer than planned.

An image from Fingal Head in northern NSW in Australia. I printed this image last week in 20x30" and it was amazing. Shot with 645D and A35mm

Moeraki Boulders, South Island, New Zealand. The Moeraki Boulders are what is called a septarian concretion. There is quite a few on this part of the coast. The day was very overcast and we had poor light. I ended up using 4 filters to take this shot.
