I'm finally getting the time to take the new camera out.
What a great way to start with it!

Fantastic shots.

Nothing so colourful from me . I spent Friday evening developing some B&W from my Pentax 645. Here's some T-Max 100.

I chased this waterspout along the coast of Port Macquarie, NSW Australia. The rain made it difficult to shoot at times.
Very cool to watch.

I should do a series of shots called - "images from a punchbag".

In common with several images I have taken recently, this one was shot while wrangling my two year old son, Archie. In this case, he was on my shoulders and kicking me in the head while wearing hard-soled shoes and refusing to stop even for a moment while I pushed the shutter release. I could not use a tripod because I had to hold him in my grasp at all times to prevent him from falling into the water and drowning. Thank goodness for great performance at higher ISO and Pentax's medium format image stabilised lenses (which not only absorbed the shock of the kicks but allowed me to use a lower ISO than would otherwise have been necessary because I could hand-hold the camera at a lower shutter speed).
Great photo. You and the camera perform very well under pressure. Wonder if Ricoh would want to video that for an ad?

I'm trying to remember what I have and haven't posted here - I don't think think this had had an outing yet - very early start for this - the day before had also tried, but foggy - but in position for summer sunrise reflected off the dolorite stacks this time. Pentax 67, 105mm, Velvia 50

Insane--the mountain in the background center right just nails it.

Lovely sharpness. Are the images you've posted with this lens 'straight' shots or shifted?

I have a Pentax mount version which I'm really looking forward to trying (on my 645D).

thanks - it's a great place, and the deep dawn shadows really help to define the shapes
