Well have spoken to Ricoh on twitter who said to speak to Johnsons about reduction of the repair fee as service recovery. Was interesting as Johnsons had said that they would speak to Ricoh. I suspect that was due to different departments. Well the lens isn't due to land in the UK until a week from today, so its on a slow boat not from China but from Japan. Ricoh have told Johnsons that they are investigating how much of a discount to give, I told them that I had bought the DFA because the 28 - 45 was away and I needed the extra width and that if I resold it, I'd likely lose a fair bit of its value. Because of my personal circumstances and the fact that I am always travelling, I wouldn't want to sell it myself, but sell it to a dealer, so I'd lose what he'd take off for his margin too. So my aim is to get a good chunk off the £840 repair fee. They have confirmed that they are holding their loan body aside for me for when I come back from Germany so that they can look at mine and not be without a camera myself. They are kind of on my way up to the lake district so when I get back from Germany I'll take a trip up there and do a swap at the same time.
Anyway now for some shots.
