The wood shape in the foreground makes that more than just a lovely scene.
It's a case of putting the light pollution to work for the scene. The downtown city lights are lighting the bottom as you surmised. I had to de-yellow them a bit because they are so strong.

Thx. I used an ND 9-stop to allow the colors to dwell on the water by smoothing out the ripples, and also create a backdrop for the pilings. A faster shutter makes the water too busy and the delicate colors are lost.

The saga with Pentax continues. My DA 28-45 still isn't back though Johnsons have loaned me a copy. Just popped in to see them on my way to the Lake District and despite being dispatched 6 weeks ago, the lens still hasn't reached France. Johnson's have chased and apparently it's still 10 days away. Talk about slow boat, I think it is being hand delivered on foot! Johnsons have kindly given me a loan copy of the Z while they repair the cable release socket and look into other issues and clean the sensor. Good service from Johnsons but Pentax Ricoh really need to have a look at themselves. Very poor.

This is the thing that just floors me, the transit delay. That lens has got to be coming on a plane, and that's less than 24 hours. So, is it a customs delay? I just don't get it.... The tavel times today aren't what justify(!) this kind of delay.

If it was customs, somebody would know by now. They were told 10 days a day or two ago, after 6 weeks. Really quite shocking. I have asked the question of Ricoh's social media team but got no answer. Sure, they have given me a 50% discount on the repair and Johnsons have given me loan items, but the service is really poor on the delivery front. I've sent things to Korea from UK for about £10 that got to their destination within 5 days. There's no justification for this delay.

Awesome photos Gavin!...I see you got a reasonable price for your A35 on ev**Bay, though not as much as one would like.

ishimitis - those transit times you are being fed are complete lies IMHO.

Had I the funds to buy a Z I would be thinking twice due to the varied poor support anecdotes being posted on this and other threads. Contrast that with my Leica M9 getting a completely new sensor free of charge from Leica; something they have probably done for hundreds of owners to maintain their product reputation, albeit for a camera that had sensor cover-glass longevity and 'corrosion' (their term) issues.

FYI- Here's the cross section for it. Two Low dispersion elements-- Note that it is not a Telephoto design but a more modern type, lacking the negative group at the rear.

That's interesting.
Does anyone know what the differences would be between the M* and a SMC 67 300/4?
