I envy your ability to go out with a dog & camera (especially a big camera.) I really like the first two.

The secret is don't tie the dog to the tripod.

Thanks and yes, don't tie the dog to the tripod! She is pretty good in the right situation. We are fortunate enough to find these big places without other people or dogs fairly easily. I definitely wouldn't be able to pull it off in a big city park, it would be too exciting for her!
She knocked over my tripod once when she was younger - she just ran straight into it. I caught it before impact so I stay close and ready but she has mellowed out a little and there haven't been any dog-tripod incidents for a year or so.

Lovely work gang.
We've had 2 weeks straight of clear blue skies here so I've kept indoors. Can't wait for some clouds.

Haven't been here in a while - I always get stuck over in the Film subforum. Some really nice images lately here. A couple of some recent ones from ye ould 67, in summertime style.

Thanks Thomas - I was wishing I was on top of one of the mountains as the sky was very dramatic that evening after a very warm sunny (but thankfully not cloudless) day.

Around here on the rare occasion where the sky is cloudless, people always say : "Perfect day for your camera!" How little do they know! They then say something like: "I bet that big camera takes beautiful photos!"

Some more from the last few days. We had more beautiful skies (Mike you can have them when I'm done with them lol) night before last and I set about doing some panos once the tourists had left Castlerigg Stone Circle.

All with Z and DA 28 - 45 and all handheld

Our last photo together.

My beloved golden, Fenris, died Tuesday evening. I took this photo 3 days before he died. It's at the local dog park, one of his favorite places.
