Hello MattB 80-160 ;-)

I don't think above pic is ooC, isn't it?

What do you use for software and what are the settings for above pic?

Daniel
No, since I shoot raw you will never see a sooc shot from me.

My typical landscape workflow (in Lightroom 6) is a shadow boost, maybe +30, Blacks -12, and on this one I reduced the highlights for the sky, maybe -30 so I could raise the brightness of the whole image +15 without blowing out the sky.
Finally I have a Color Efex Pro preset I like for these kinds of images which is +12 Detail extractor, +20 Contrast Color range.

Thanks. It's not a lens. It's a telescope. The focal length is 1100mm, and the focal ratio is F7.3.

It sounds ...... complicated (for me).

Is "Color Efex Pro" a stand alone application (Google?????) or a plugin for Lightroom or something else? At the present time I try to understand LR (6.6.1 Mac).....

I have a Celestron 1000mm f11 mirror telescope. I have a T mount adapter to my old Minolta srt101. Curious after seeing whwang astrophotography how to adapt my 645D to my Celestron scope?
Any information appreciated.

It's part of the Nik suite which Google is now giving away. It can run as a standalone application of LR/PS plugin which is how I use it. The whole process takes me maybe a minute now that I'm used to it. LR and Nik also allow the same edits to be applied to multiple images so if I have a bunch of similar ones it can go very quickly.

Every once in a while I get ambitious and try something like this. There are actually surprisingly few places where you can legally get a view of the strip without much obstructing it. I couldn't commit to shooting these with a longer focal length because I didn't want to miss anything. I cropped in post for the aspect ratio as these were all at 70-85mm. I used a remote release and just held the button in bulb mode which led to a variety of different exposure values between photos and the lights from the casinos are hard to control. I like the outcome, not perfect but lightning is pretty damn cool so...
I tried these with flickr but it looks like the quality is poor as well. The originals after process and crop are still 17mp jpegs but these look like iPhonery??

Here is the same shot after drag and drop uploading to smugmug

Hi, ideally you will need to just get a P645 version of T mount, but unfortunately this doesn't exist. I can think of two alternatives. One is to first get a P67 mount, make an adapter to put it on your C11, and then get a P67-P645 adapter. This is the P67 mount I talked about:
http://www.mmjp.or.jp/takahashi-sb/data/tsring.htm#%83y%83%93%83^%83b%83N%83X67%83o%83%88%83l%83b%83g%8A%C2
Its front side is an M92P1 female thread. You can adapt it to C11 via a custom-made adapter.

The other possibility is to get the vixen P645 adapter:
http://www.vixen.co.jp/product/at/acc/373154.htm
Then you need to make another adapter to put this on your C11. Either way, you will need to make an adapter for C11. This is not that difficult if you know how to do it.

Is your C11 the HD version? The HD version should have a large image circle that can cover 645D's sensor. A standard version of C11 can illuminate a large area, but the outer part of the focal plan (even on 35mm full frame) would suffer from strong coma and field curvature. You may only get sharp stars in the very center part of your 645D image.

Cheers,
Wei-Hao
