-24 F by the lake yesterday morning. My batteries got cold and the camera quit before the light got really good. My hands got way too cold changing them too. The one I swapped in didn't stay warm enough. Had to abort the mission!

Are there modern, digital-compatible versions of the batteries that attached with a cable so that you could keep the battery itself in a warm pocket? I think they used to be made for the film 645 and 67 cameras.
