I did! Though only four, so I had to move them around several times and blend the files together...

645D & FA 45-85
Very nice captures. You are putting A35 and FA45-85 to good use. The lenses have, perhaps, overlapping capabilities at the lower end of the 45-85. Could you comment on why you chose two different lenses for these two photos?

Sure, it was just a matter of wider vs. more versatile. I used the zoom for some tighter shots but when the sky got really colorful I wanted more of it in the frame than 45mm allowed. So I switched to the A 35. If my Arsat 30 was in working condition I would have used that but as it was the 35 was my widest option.
One day I'd like to get a 25mm or the 28-45 zoom for this kind of shooting but they are just too expensive for the amount of revenue I get from photography at the moment.

the only article i found said it already peaked last month with a rare combination of warm water and low winds to reduce dispersion of the algae. When i went down, it was much less impressive than what i've seen in San Diego before.
Also, no moon is pretty much a requirement. Good luck!
