Absolutely. We lacked the time to stay at Milford Sound for more than a day trip, but that's was because we planned poorly. Next time (if there is one), we will fly into Christchurch instead of Auckland, rent our camper there, and never leave the South Island. Then, we could spend several days at Milford Sound. As crowded as it was when we were there (late September a few years before he Lord of the Rings Effect, which may be wearing off at this point), I have this feeling campsite berths have to be booked far in advance.

Depends when you travel. I have always come in April/May and have been able to drive straight in or book on the day before or a few hours before.

Nice one too!....my visit to Doubtful and Milford three years ago was very dour and grey, but at least got a great (lucky!) shot of a leaping dolphin around the boats we were on …..
Next time I'm going to book a berth on the Doubtful sound overnight boat. I looked into it but my trip was too short this time.

Changing London

The disused Battersea Power Station is a well-known icon of London. It has lain disused since it stopped operation in 1983. There have been numerous proposals to redevelop it in various ways. Until recently, they all foundered. Now, as you can see, a massive project is under way. This whole area is changing enormously... Let's hope they keep the character of the place somehow.

Great glow in the first , and beautiful colouration in the third....it would be interesting to see a closer look at the textures and colours of the fungi on the red oak...[COLOR="Silver"]
Yes, amazing how this tiny cluster stands out on the moisture laden trunk. The red oak fungi will be reshot this weekend, time permitting, and the. Results posted. Thanks

Of course you do. Nice visual rhyme with the clouds and the rocks, sky and water, dark/light reversal. Liked your Smokies photo as well, a place near and dear to my heart.
