Great capture. Landscapes with steam or water vapor are always appealing.

Yes, from scaled plans. You can see the home brew landing gear struts.

Thanks! I like them too and need to take advantage before the ice closes up we no longer get that steam until it opens up again.

Great and really sharp. Stopping down on that zoom really sharpens things up! I gotta start tryingf the 45-85. I have the A and FA versions, but have so many primes that I keep forgetting it.

Does it need a little less exposure?

Maybe but the only blown out section is the sky which really was pure white. I was going for a high key type of shot and really it was blindingly bright.

My first attempt at medium format film. Got a great deal on a Pentax 645 with three lenses and decided to give it a try. I want to thank everybody who posts in this forum, I've done a lot of reading and learning here the last few months. I'm not new to photography, I've shot a Canon 6D since 2015 and a 50D before that, but I've never shot film before. I shoot primarily landscape and nature.

I only shot one roll of Ektar 100 this fall, picking and choosing my spots, sometimes shooting the same thing as with my digital, just to compare. Thought I'd start sharing some of these images now and again, starting with my very first shot.

This is a fen in Houghton County, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Kodak Ektar 100, f8, 1/15th, 75mm.

Love the colors here with the soft rendering under overcast. An effective understated, subtle composition well done.
