More San Fran. This time, the view from Twin Peaks. A photographer was murdered here not so very long ago, so I decided to go pre-dawn rather than late at night. I guess I assumed most murderers are night owls!

Thanks for the feedback - always appreciated. I spend so much time looking at my pictures as I compose and edit them, it's hard to know how they are received by others.

Is it the darkness of the wider scene that is causing your preference? I tried another version that looks rather different (the light had come up a little, and I used the 120mm A lens). Thoughts?

I just got into Medium Format Film Photography, and film Developing. So I NOTICED the real time look of the film as opposed to DIGITAL.

Actually, they're both digital (shot with the 645Z). My note merely indicated that it was shot using a 6x7 LENS...

ADOX CHS 100 II in Rodinal 1+50

I find Kodak's Photoguide is still a good reference to have especially shooting old-school gear. This version is water resistant and has thick, durable pages with cool movable dial charts throughout the book.

I took a quick afternoon break today to photograph these cool clouds. They were better a few minutes earlier but this was as fast as I could make it anywhere interesting.

Well, I like the first shot better and find the second rather generic. What I especially like about the first (and there's a lot to like) is the confusing perspective caused by the distinctive wave-like cloud formation. My first thought was this was the actual ocean with huge breakers rolling in, only then realizing the perspective was totally off. Very interesting!

Nice! There is something about B&W film shots that seems additive, rather than being characterized by lacking color. Maybe it's one's imagination being pulled into play.
