Maybe but the precedent from most other Kodak exposure tables works out per the Sunny 16 for the film. Yea, you're suppose to adjust the Sunny 16 starting around latitudes 23 above the equator for winter sun typically. I'd say it's a whole stop at my latitude of N48.

Oh yes you do need it! You'll acquire it faster if you need it more than want it.

Wow ! More than 100,000 views ! Who said film is dead ?!
Or maybe it's the same old film die-hards visiting over and over...

Wonderful shots Makten !
Which film did you use for the three ?

Thanks! I used Ilford HP5+, but I rarely see any difference between different films in the final image. This time I developed a bit too short, hence the grain from lifting everything in PP.
The Fomapan on the other hand, came out perfectly when using Fomas own recommended development time and dilution.

...yep, I always laugh to myself when someone says sunny 16. Most days in my neighborhood it is sunny 11 except maybe for mid-Summer!

You guys should try coming to Australia.
Sunny 16 even in Winter, and light that is too harsh and strong the rest of the year Even now, when Summer is supposed to be finishing we have had weeks of >=35C temps. Night time it gets down to somewhere between 20-30C...
I'm sick of it, anyone want to swap??

During the summer months in the southern hemisphere, Earth is closer to the Sun in its elliptical orbit than it is for summertime in the northern hemisphere.

During summer, 400 ISO film exposure readings are commonly as high as f22 @ 1/1,000th sec.

(Sunny f/32 rule?)

Thanks tuco, I didn't actually know that. Should do my reading next time

All the more reason to avoid shooting around midday I suppose.

It is...in the summer. Winter is about the same. (I have lived in both cities.) It snowed this morning with hard cold rain the rest of the day and into the evening. In the mountains, they have been getting about 2 feet a day of new snow since Sunday. March definitely has arrived as a lion.
