The Tropics

Nice tropical work Gary. I have done quite a bit of that over the past 30 years but not much in the jungles. Most of my tropical work was seascapes. This is one of the few jungle shots I've done. Hilo, Hawaii area, 67, 55-100 zoom and mosquitoes. Cropped.

Thank you. I'm glad you like them. The Pentax 645N and NII have a very fine multi-exposure function.

Here are some more in the same vein ...

Multi-exposure: Crooked old willow at the beach

Lens: smc Pentax-FA 645 80-160mm F/4.5

SUNSET AT THE 'ROCK OF AGES',
KOOYOORA STATE PARK, VICTORIA, AUS

This simple, but not-so-readily found scene has been a personal favourite since my very first long-haul bicycle tour in the winter of 1982, although camp at that time was nowhere near here; the discovery of these boulders came much later, in the summer of 1991, and quite by accident when I was fleeing from a lace monitor!

This image was made on the evening of February this year when it was uncomfortably hot setting up the shot with the hot sun behind me. Stifling heat aside, the views from this lofty, isolated perch high above the sprawling northern plains are splendid and a lot of time can be enjoyed just sitting on the granite and taking in the view.

These are very cool -- and may yet convince me to clean up the darkroom and start using it again.

Hydrangea

We are enjoying the last few weeks of our flower gardens before the rapidly approaching killing frost--90 percent chance of frost by October 27th or thereabouts.
