Hey - I'm OK...thanks for checking in. Ed reached out and I do apologize for my absence of late - it's a combination of work and family life that has pulled me from takin' pictures and being on my favorite web forum.

Before I forget, tuco, that BW series of bridges and rocky beaches is simply mesmerizing!! well done and keep them coming if you have more.

So, last night, i finally put a battery in my camera and drove due north until it got dark, took out camera and pressed the little button a few times. It felt so good!
I got this shot of one of the old brides along the California Delta...there are dozens, if not 100+ stell or concrete bridges like this one.

Paintersville Bridge

Great that you are ok! And if there are a lot of these old bridges, maybe you should document them all before they get replaced! Good project for now....

That's a really great idea. At the new bridges I sometimes find the footings of the earlier bridge nearby and try to imagine what had come and gone before.
Here are a few of the bridges in the California Delta that i've captured so far:

A few shots from a recent trip to Arizona before the current crisis. First is the Phoenix Mountain Park at sunrise. The second is the Usery Mt. Regional Park in Mesa. Third is the Tempe Riverfront. All shot with FA35mm.

The only way of getting distant landscapes in lockdown is to get on top of my roof...

Namibia Landscapes

With all this social distancing and what-not, I'm sharing some pictures I took on a trip to Namibia last year. Planning to go back this year, but our flights may not exist anymore :-(

Enjoy these and comments are welcome.

This picture of the whale breaching was taken with my KP (did not have the 645 with me on the boat)

The world is truly beautiful. Hope we can keep it that way.

This seems likely to be the last photo trip I will make until the pandemic has passed, as my family and I are going into lock-down for all but essential trips.

Norah Head lighthouse in New South Wales, seen from Soldiers Beach.

These are magical, Theu. I am blown away by their artistry, muscular quality and sense of place. They pass the traditional photographers' "annoying that I didn't take them" test ;-)
