A film/developer combo that I tried a few times. It was a strange combo for me producing clumpy grain structure on my attempts. I didn't work with the combo any further.

A clumpy grain structure with Rodinal might be reticulation caused by the stop bath. I learned to use water with maybe a tinge of acetic acid as a stop bath , greatly diluted compared to the usual formulation. It was a little harder on the fixer, maybe, but it solved my reticulation issue.

Okay, thanks for the tip Rick. I have some 320TXP I purchased before it was discontinued that I should make an effort to use now and then.

Spending lockdown backing up on to the iMac 5k 27.

This shot is from 2011 with the 645D and FA 55-110...

This is from the same trip to the lakes same combo. The 55-110 is not particularly sharp and I rarely use it, but this is nice

The first shot is lovely---don't think I've seen a bad shot from you---but the second is the prize. And it demonstrates the what is most important in photography is to use what you have to the best effect. Here, the 55-110's softness is not a disadvantage (and could be seen almost as an advantage...), and it's useful FL range the most important thing. It's a wonderful image, maybe one of the best I've seen you present here.

Thank you very much. I agree. Had I used say the 120 macro the shot wouldn't have worked as well as the one. I have the second one already printed and mounted somewhere in the house but not yet framed.

Superb image. The fill looks so natural I'd never guess flash was used. Great job.
Thanks for sharing,

Thank you. The contrast ratio across the face is a clue.
