Smiling strawberry, happiest subject today ...

I took a few pictures of my remaining strawberries and, while processing them after the photo shoot, I noticed this smiling character on the right side of the image. These locally picked strawberries are to die for, they are so delicious. Tripod-mounted Pentax 645Z + 645 A 120 mm f/4 MACRO lens, 0,6 sec @ f/16 and 800 ISO.

645D with wide angle shots

A few shots with the 645D and Arsat 30mm f 3.5 fisheye, a great performer for the price. It comes in Pentacon 6 mount, adapted to P645 mount.

Cool shots. Was just looking at the Arsat on the web. It is an impressive looking piece ot glass. Would love to see more of your fisheye images.

Yes, I highly recommend this lens as a great medium format bargain, and sometimes even available even as a new lens. Mostly is comes in Pentacon 6 mount, so an adviser is needed for P645 mount. Here are a few more quick garden shots, all JPEG SOC f 3.5.

Surfing, of course, is now very much associated with the Australian life style. But it wasn't always so... It is generally believed that surfing was brought to Australia in 1915 by Hawaiian Duke Kahanamoku (though indigenous Australian people would very likely have enjoyed the water in similar ways for centuries). He famously demonstrated the technique at Harbord in Sydney. To commemorate this significant occasion, there is a statue to Kahanamoku outside the Harbord Diggers RSL Club, which is where this picture was taken.

Stars doing a passable impression of surf in the background!

Thank you for posting these extra photos. So it's decent at F 3.5. Does it improve, like most lenses, when stopped down to 8-16?

Thanks,

Garden imagery

Garden imagery with the 645Z and old classic Carl Zeiss Jena 180mm f 2.8, big and heavy to achieve large 2.8 aperture at this focal length, but creator of light, airy, spacious images that belie its size and weight.
