Thanks for looking,
barondla

Love it! Great mood... Who needs sleep, when there's great art to be made?

Towering over the historic Sydney street of Broadway is the modern building called Central Park, housing a shopping centre, apartments, function facilities and many other businesses. The overhanging roof is instantly recognisable and was asking to be shot with star trails (at least if you are me!).

645Z with 28-45mm DA lens @ 40mm

Holy wow! Spectacular image. It competes with your dual 645Z fireworks image as my favorite. This should be printed huge! MC Esher would be impressed.

Thanks. It was such a rare evening. Full moon in fog, no wind and comfortable temperature.

Thanks for sharing,
barondla

Hi,

That's pretty cool!

We had fog last evening, but there is nothing to shoot at all in fog here on the farm, especially at night. All I got is a bunch of dark!

Thanks. The reason for my lack of productivity is a much happier one with pitter patter of tiny feet and disturbed sleep. Where I do get out and about, I am having to choose a slightly lighter gear. My travel has also completely stopped because of COVID. I have been shooting mostly with the A7r4 when able...
Congratulations on the little one. I also found that mine drastically altered what and how I shoot photos. COVID-19 has done the same but in a different way. The second one is on the way and I fear that once travel becomes an option again I will have to very seriously reduce the photography gear I typically take on holiday with me.

Dad passed away right after the nurse in ICU said to come up yesterday morning. So we missed the last moments with him by the amount of time it takes to go up one floor in a lift. He wasn't alone when he went, he had the nurse with him. He wouldn't have wanted to have been in a "departure lounge" nursing home awaiting to die at some later date so it was probably for the best...
I'm really sorry for your loss, especially in those circumstances. When these things happen we need to try to console ourselves with the small things and think that many others have far worse luck, so we should be thankful for what we managed.

My own father would be a sitting duck for the virus if it ever finds him and I live a thousand miles away in another country, with one (and all going well, soon two) small children, and I fear on a daily basis what could happen and that I won't be there. May vaccine development move swiftly and social distancing, masks and hygiene slow the virus as much as possible.

Not an exact comparison obviously, but I have now tried both...

I'd like to say both seem adequate, but perhaps pixel peeping is called for to be sure.

Thanks so much, my friend. Means a lot :-)

Hope conditions improve where you are, both for the health of you (and yours) - and for your photographic opportunities...
