A visit to the Oregon coast. I really don't like midday shots. But we can't always be around nice low light all the time.

Hassy 500C/M, Planar CF T* 80mm, Yellow Filter, Acros 100, PMK Pyro, Pentax Spotmeter V

Hassy 500C/M, Distagon CB T* 60mm, Pentax R60 (R2) Red Filter, Acros 100, PMK Pyro, Pentax Spotmeter V

These gals are really good at holding a pose, lol. I took this and some others just to finish off a roll of film. I had to shoot and dash! One store didn't like it at all and promptly told me to leave. On this shot I had an employee come up to me and he was a bit confused over the camera. He had no idea what this strange looking thing was and I think his curiosity and questions sort of diffused the situation. I got out of there before a store manager showed up though but not before sneaking this shot.

Whoa... great contrast and apparent sharpness. The trunks are sure popping out of the film...I still have not tried out Across 100 but I have 18 rolls waiting - two were lost in the disaster of my 500CM (which has now been fixed and CLA

)

These medium format photos are just awesome to watch! A question to tuco: What aperture did you use in that second Oregon coast shot? It seems to be plenty sharp all around the scene. Just wondering how much one can close the aperture without losing too much sharpness when using a non-T/S lens.

Tuco, this first one is a brilliant shot! Nicely composed and has a mythical feeling. I only wish the whole shadow of the tree branch would fit in the picture.

I took two different shots of the Jetty wall. One stopped all the way down to f22 which had more distance in it and the one shown here at f19. I focus by the DOF numbers on the lens of the camera when I do these kind of pictures.

Thanks, you guys. Yeah, I wish I would have got it all in too. I just snapped away at that shot without thinking too much about it being a bit rushed. So another lesson learned.

Ah yes, DOF scale, pretty handy indeed. And it seems that (MF) film photography is not THAT sensitive when dealing with loss of sharpness when using smallish apertures. I've been looking for a "cheap" large format kit with movements control or a 645/67 kit. By looking at the landscape shots here it seems that small apertures with MF film gear are perfectly okay without tilting the lens.

I am positively delighted with my newly acquired Minolta Autocord. It is light, easy to use and gives some very sharp result.

Kodak TriX400 @ 400, Calbe A49, 16 min

I like it for somewhat close range which also OK with the focal lens.

Yeah, nice results. TLRs are a fun camera to shoot. I did experience that you don't always get what you see on a really close shot due to parallax of the viewing and taking lenses.

Ah, one of my favorite lenses on the 6x7 and a challenging subject to do in BW - trees. Nice shot.
