We just had a long week-end and took the opportunity to take a camer aout everyday
Saturday - LX with Adox CMS20 (this film as so much contrast that I missed some coll photo of bears we encountered on the trail)
Sunday morning - Autocord (this little guy is really growing om me)
Sunday afternoon - my newly serviced 500CM

Some Autocord love...

The battery of my Gossen died on me but the sun finally came out a bit.

Cheers,

Luc

Nice results. I like the flower composition and the textures the film/lens is creating.

Thanks. This is my favourite of the roll. I just printed it on 13x19 Canson Platine paper and I will frame it for my office (at work). I sometime which there would be 13x13 paper or something like that. I do not have a very good paper cutter...

Cheers,

Luc

Yeah, nice results. TLRs are a fun camera to shoot. I did experience that you don't always get what you see on a really close shot due to parallax of the viewing and taking lenses.
The closest it can focus is almost one meter - so close range might not have been the proper term. I just find the lens very good at "medium" distance but not necessary as good at infinity. It might just be a coincidence that my shots at infinity sucked...

Cheers,

Luc

I converted a 1933 Voigtlander Rollfilmkamera into a zoom pinhole 6x9. As this isn't a self-erecting camera, I have a choice how far to pull the bellows.

The above is at full extension, approx 115mm, the one below is around 90mm pinhole to film distance

The following is around 55mm, as you can see there's vignetting at the wide end

Jussi, that's very very cool! #2 is an interesting self portrait (I assume?) with a very old style look.

Thanks - it was a quick, fun conversion - I already had the pinhole mounted in a film cap that fits the barrel of many folding camera shutters. I think the barrel causes the vignetting in the wide angle shots - to elminate this, I'd have to remove the shutter and figure out how to hold the bellows and pinhole, and of course arrange a different shutter mechanism.

Cool. So what was the f-stop of the pin hole? Maybe the vignetting is due to you need a changing hole size for the focal length?

A portrait of a contemporary Wicca.

I thought I would post this for interest value, & perhaps some amusement.

This is an old pic shot a few years ago with an RZ67 ProII & Mamiya 65mm f4 L-A on Fujichrome Provia 100F. Exposure was 50/50 ambient light & 2 x 1000WS Elinchrom Monolights. One @ 400Ws firing through a 1m softbox above & behind the camera, the other @ 800Ws bounced off the wall/ceiling corner behind & to the left of camera.

IMO the lighting could have been better. It's too even & should have been more moody, but.....it was rushed. With only 45 mins to shoot it, there was not much time for lighting variations.

This posted image is a B&W converted jpg from a 200ASA Raw copy of the original full colour 6x7cm transparency shot on a shaded 5000K light box with a Pentax istD & FA100 f2.8 Macro. This process is probably no faster than performing a proper scan...but when there's no 6x9 scanner handy....it proves that with care, one can get acceptable results with this technique.

A Wicca by the way, is a Witch.

Cheers

The f/stop of course varies with focal distance, given an invariant aperture.

Here's a shot with a real lens, a 1933 Zeiss Tessar 70/3.5 on a Zeiss Ikon Ikomat 520 6x4.5 camera. Shot at around f/11 and slow shutter speed. Ilford HP5 Plus, D-76 1:1, Epson 4490

Yeah, pretty good results that way and good use of the equipment you have. I have a copy of that FA100 Macro lens. It is a funky design but I like it.
