I see you are working with clay or sculpey, do you do that for a living? It really looks like your enjoying your self. I hope this goes to your photo, I'm new at this, Both this response and medium format. What I do for a living for the last 40Years is make pottery and my significant other is a potter/sculptress, she has, in the past, worked in clay and sculpey. We sell what we make now at the Minnesota Renaissance. I use to do a lot of other sales shops and galleries in the past but I'm taking time to do what i want to. So it's my Pentax 6X7.

I was testing the camera's suitability for this type of shooting - overall it does well but the location and time of day lead to a pretty busy frame

Yeah, pretty good results that way and good use of the equipment you have. I have a copy of that FA100 Macro lens. It is a funky design but I like it.

Did you say funky or clunky?? ...I like it a lot too, great tonal rendering & good sharpness without the edgyness of the DFA/DA's.

I took a look at some of your image posts. You have a good eye for composition particularly with structuring B&W tonality. I particularly like "Blacks At Evening Twilight" & "BC Parliament Interior". Very nice work. Good processing too.

Here's another pic I shot a couple of years ago with the same RZ67 but with the 50mm f/4.5 ULD & Velvia 100F Pro. I copied it at the same time as the Wicca with the same hardware.

I was asked along to a car museum. I thought it might make a for a good opportunity to get some shots. But the cars were so close together and had roped barriers around them it was difficult to even get a full front grill shot without something in the way. So I took shots at parts of the cars.

1939 Cadillac 60 Special


Hassy 500C/M, Distagon CB T* 60mm, Acros 100, Rodinal 1+100, Pentax Spotmeter V

This shot was a reject. But I decided to scan it and see what it looked like. I metered a 1 minute exposure at f19 with a a green filter on this red car and forgot to put the camera on bulb. So I inadvertently shot it at 1 second. That makes this 6 stops under exposed yet with scanning, post processing and Rodinal I was able to get this image. Scanning is so forgiving.

I do like this shot showing much texture even if it should be shot with a Kiev or a FED to keep it local...
Now just a though if you could convince the "Wicca" to pose on top of the concrete blocks, now that might be a very exotic shot...plus the guys would have been smiling some more

Everything metal and shiny came out so nicely on MF. I have to find vintage cars or bikes to try this - it gives such classy shots.

I guess that the Minolta Autocord has become the de facto hiking camera...thanksfully or I would not have made it back with a full backpack.

Thanks. No, it is the SMC Pentax 90mm and not the S-M-C Takumar 90mm LS though I do have that lens too. The Oregon side of the bridge is what is most often shot since it's more grandeur.
