And here's another shot.

Portra 400NC again. Handheld, with my elbows sitting on a guardrail for stability.

Nice shots.
I would not advocate taking too many shots of back alleys at night in the downtown Eastside unless you do not mind a little bit of rough interaction.

Cheers,

Luc

I see things have not changed much on the Eastside since the early 1980s when I lived in the city?

Honestly though, you who live in the Lower Mainland in B.C. are incredibly lucky. Your vicinity is one of the most photogenic in N. America and that includes your urban center.

That being said, "Vancouver to the south" (where I live), while not quite as pretty, is experiencing a rare day of good winter light. Time for me to abandon the computer, get some fresh air, and do a little shooting.

haha. thanks guys. And I usually stay away from the alleys with lots of foot traffic, especially the Downtown Eastside. But who knows, maybe a project will come up!

I guess we are kind of spoiled in a way. Living here for so long, one kind of takes it for granted after a while. I had to travel to other cities in the world to really see the unique beauty of Vancouver, BC Not to say that other cities aren't great, but Vancouver has it's own unique feel to it. Atleast that's how I feel!

But let's just say that when it rains, it pours! For months!

Ah, what a thread!

I'm getting a 67II tomorrow, and browsing the web for info on it, I found this forum. So, let me cheat some and post a few 6x7 shots with a Fujica rangefinder camera until I've got the Pentax, will you? I sold it because I wanted an SLR instead, but it was a nice beast to play with for starters.

Provia 100F and Fujinon S 100/3.5...

I'll be back as soon as I've gotten the Pentax. And of course, when I've had the time to use it.

Kicking back at the cabin. You should be careful what you ask for. I had a slow shutter and asked these guys to "freeze". They did and it looks like it too, lol.

Congrats on the forthcoming new camera. Many of us here shoot more than one camera. Nothing wrong with that. I, for one, say celebrate the picture; not the camera body.

So do I, but I don't like to have "multiple" gear that does the same thing. And I like to celebrate both the picture and the gear.

Shot from another sailboat. We were getting passed. They just punched through our wind shadow. One of the few situations I put a metered TTL prism on this camera.

Pentax 6x7, 165mm, Kodak 320TXP

I agree, I think it's great. +1 with what Luc said also.

Tuco, I also enjoy the sailboat shot. A P67 on a moving yacht at sea is not what I would have pictured as the cameras normal usage !

Thanks. Well, I've taken lots of shots while sailboat racing with this camera. More with 135 just because telephoto is needed often. I don't see why you can't shoot the 67 like a K1000. It is just larger is all to me.
