That is incredibly cool. Kudos for trying it and getting a good shot out of it.

That's the kitten that started the thread. You'll have to post an update so we can see the change.

I screw up development with divided Pyrocat HD. I think that I did not agitate enough the bath b and I have large patches of uneven development.
The exposure on these shots was really up in the air as the Gossen Pilot 2 in excellent condition that I just purchased just stopped working at the first intent

Minolta Autocord Across 100 - Pyrocat HD two baths 1+20 - 6+6 min

It's always winter for this tree. A new wide angle lens for this camera. Took it for a test spin today. This lens has two focus rings. First you focus, check the distance, set it it to one of four focus ranges and refocus if you didn't already have at the correct distance. It is going to take some getting use to I can tell.

Thanks.

Cool, nice. I like doing that sort of photography too. In fact I did one similar to that some years ago. Yours is more dramatic in the lighting than what I attempted. I shot it with both a clear center spot, soft focus filter and without. These days I can't find a volunteer confident with their appearance to be photographed.

fs999, you inspired me to finally dig up and scan that shot. This was a simple one light source shot with a center spot soft focus filter.

We have the same problem

I used two softboxes behind her. Usually I use also a beauty dish in the front.

A beautiful shot of this lady. The soft focus is not disturbing too much, as I first thought.

Another one with one softbox and on Retro 100. I know there is too much space above... Sometimes I would like to have a 200mm...

The filter has a clear center spot. The amount of softness increases further out from the center and the more you stop down the less there is of it. It was one of the few times I have ever used that filter.

That's another great shot you did. That kind of lighting is fun to do in BW.
