If I hadn't just picked up a Rolleiflex, I would have liked to have that set. Why not keep the Blad? I love the mechanical goodness.

I might still keep it. I just find that I do not take it very often. I did not really warm to it like I did for some of my other cameras. If my P645 was 6x6 I would not even have the Blad in the first place. And as it has been said you have to keep the image square otherwise it is pretty much the size of a 645 negative. From that point of view a 67 makes more sense as you have the different type of lenses and the larger negative. The 6x9 is even better but I do not have anything with a longer lens than normal.

Very nice, scimmiaz! Many people claim the old 55/3.5 to be a bad lens, and I can see some smearing in the lower right corner. But still good allover results!

I developed for a bit too long (14 minutes in Fomadon R09 1:60), so there's actually more grain than with my previous rolls of Tri-X @ 400. And, I really need that higher speed at the available light over here. All were shot at 1/30 with support from stuff I could lean against.

Nice results. With that dev time, you could have probably made out with EI200 and 1/60 just fine. A mono pod + cable release is easy to carry around for those 1/30th shots too.

Yes, I know. I had nooo idea of how to develop the film. Last time I used Neopan 100, I just let it stand in R09 1:80 for 20 minutes without agitation, and the result was plain wonderful. The best I've ever gotten from any film.

I really hate pods of all kinds; mono, tri, dual, whatever. As long as I can get up (?) to 1/60, I'm fine with handholding the 105. It's "on the fence", but it works quite alright.

The next film will be Tri-X @ 800. Sometimes I think that should be the native speed of that film, because the the rendering in the shadows at 400 is like ~1600 on digital.

If you look at the RFF forum and make a search for rodinal and triX you will find two thread dealing with the film shot at 1600 and developped in rodinal.

You can also shot at 1250 and develop in Diafine. I do that all the time and like the results.

The "special" development is the standard C-41 color process. And according to the XP2 SUPER Data Sheet:

"Push processing is not recommended as, unlike conventional ISO 400/27° films, no practical increase in film speed is achieved when XP2 SUPER film is push processed. But XP2 SUPER film can be exposed at EI 800/30 and given standard processing."

And notable info about the ISO is under the category EXPOSURE RATING:

"XP2 SUPER film has a speed rating of ISO 400/27° (400ASA, 27DIN, EI 400/27) to daylight. The ISO speed rating was measured using standard C41 processing. Although rated at ISO 400/27°, XP2 SUPER can be exposed over the range EI 50/18–800/30. When higher speed is needed, XP2 SUPER can be rated at up to EI 800/30. For finer grain, when speed is less important, rate the film at EI 200/24, although for finest grain it can be rated as low as EI 50/18 if required.

The practical implications of this wide exposure range are very important. XP2 SUPER can be exposed at a setting to suit the job. The benefit of variable speed also provides security against inadvertent over- or underexposure. It should be noted that the exposure index (EI) recommended for XP2 SUPER is based on a practical evaluation of film speed and is not based on foot speed, as is the ISO standard."

Thanks for this. That means I can vary exposure even mid-roll, if I'm not mistaken. Quite incredible in fact. I do seem to gather from comments that contrast is not this film's forte, but this latitude in exposure more than makes up for it.

Thank's! Great shots with 105/2,4 and very good develop. I dont know Fomadon R09. It work also with T-max 400 (my favorite film)?
