@Luc, great series. I'm with Tuco, #3 is superb.

@Jason both are superb shots. I'm with Luc, somewhere in the middle would be perfect. The Prvia shots seems slightly cool and the Ektar seems to warm. Great shots regardless.

I wanted to test this film out but wasn't going to wait for doing a portrait test on someone. So I did something I really don't do very often, the flower shot. I thought this would be a good time to put my helicoid extension tube to use that I've rarely used since I don't have a macro for either of my two MF cameras. To my surprise, you can't use a leaf shutter lens with it. I had to dig out the fixed extension tubes.

The shot uses two Alien Bee, B800 flashes with a Paul Buff Cyber Commander transmitter plus Cyber Sync receivers. One flash with a strip soft box over head and the other flash with a 10° spot grid modifier. A large continuous light source is under the flower base.

Pentax 6x7, SMC Pentax 165mm LS, Extension Tube #2, New Portra 160, Jobo C-41 Press Kit, f5.6 @ 1/125

now tuco, you've gone and ruined yet another 2 areas of photography for us: flowers and lighting technique. And sentenced yourself to only repeating yourself... Only kidding there, but the flower strikes me as perfectly realized in all technical aspects. Good work, and actually inspiring to a duffer such as me.

bought some agfa bw film that was sold as 'expired'. Anyway, it turns out it expired 21 years ago

Developed fine in lc29, grain still nice and fine.

a little troublesome taking the 6x7 in a backpack but worth it

agfapan 100, pentax 6x7, 105 2.4 @2.4 or thereabouts.

I'd also note something I found. The scan preview was very pastel, NC. But when I scanned to a DNG file, it opens up in Lightroom very VC. And if I save it as a regular TIFF file from the scanner, I get a NC version. I think with a figital work flow, VC and NC films is moot point with these New Portra films. But I still need to try outdoors and people to verify that.

Just got my SMC Pentax A 35mm lens for my 645D. I just had a walk around the garden before dinner and I am very happy with the results. Third image is a 100% crop of the second. Nice glass...

Long exposure testing - a little over 4 minutes from earlier tonight. Left noise reduction on, so I only got 1 shot off before the light changed.

645D / A 35mm F/3.5

Great forest shots, Ibenac. I've always found forests to be a difficult subject, because so much is happening there it's just too easy to make a crowded and dull picture. But yours don't seem to suffer from that problem. Congrats!
