Great use of colours! I'm usually not very fond of these kinds of pictures but this one really does it for me, undoubtedly thanks to how you're playing with the colours. Great job!

I haven't been able to get results anywhere near this from my 67 and 165ls. Tell me this is scanned with a Epson flatbed and I will have to sell all my gear and take up knitting or something.....

Thanks for noticing. I tried to make the colors opposite best I could with what was available around the house.

Thanks. Flash shots with their quick burst of light just seem to make shots more crisp. Makten has a V700, I believe, and he gets excellent results.

Yes I do, but I don't manage to get the same crispness as you do.

But I suppose that's mostly because I shoot handheld at "impossible to handhold" speeds and often at large apertures.

Speaking of large apertures, some playing around with short DOF... Ektar again.

Here's a quick and dirty 2400dpi full size scan from the V700. It could improved in some areas but there's still a lot of detail. Click through to the "original" size for the 2400dpi version.
Check out the lower part of the roof and the top of the arch. Film is Arista EDU ultra 100.

That's a bit sharper than what I get most of the time at 2400 (which is the resolution I scan at). The main problem for me is getting the damn film flat. B&W films are usually OK, but the color negs tend to curl more. Especially Ektar. But since I don't do prints (at all, yes I'm crazy), the V700 is more than I'll ever need.

Edit: I think you could improve your downsizing though. I sharpen and resample the images in 2-3 steps, which gives much crisper results at 1024 pixels width.

My first time developing 6x7 on a reel! This picture is a demonstration of everything done wrong, haha. I just started shooting 4x5 and so I bought everything for home development, and then decided to just buy a reel to use with my Pentax 67 stuff. However, I bent the film all up on the reel. Then I underdeveloped it. Oh and I didn't wash it properly with the wetting agent so it's dusty. 4x5 sheets are so much easier for me...

Anyway despite all that I think this shot is pretty neat. 105mm f/2.4 wide-open, with TMax400 pushed to 800 supposedly.

Are you using stainless steel (aka CRES - corrosion resistant steel) reel and tank? Cutting an approx 45° chamfer on the film edges that clips onto the reel helps getting it started on that system.
