What a great cat, I love the furry fringe in your shot.

Portra 400 and 55/4...

I mentioned that I thought that this roll was a bit underdeveloped (it's from the same roll as my last image), so I developed the next one a bit longer (~3:40). But it's still thinner than the first rolls and the colors aren't that pronounced as before. So probably the chems are fading a bit and I'm "only" on 9 rolls. I'll do a few more and prolong the development even more. If it doesn't get better, I'll scrap the chems and buy some new. It has been much cheaper than sending the film off anyway.

"hassle of film"... Don't you mean, "pleasure of film"?

Personally I find it a lot of fun. There's no reason why you can't shoot digital and film in parallel also. I like to use either film or digital depending on the subject and the desired result.

p.s. If you want to know of some good labs in Perth, or some other local tips send me a PM

Being that the price difference between a 645N and 645D is peanuts, sure, why not.

I, for one, shoot mechanical cameras for the fun of it. Fully automagic digital ones like that are sometimes are just too easy.
