Tuco, nice colour work and the Salty Dawg Saloon looks like something else
I know what you mean about the mosquitos, kinda - when I was in NZ I was mobbed by biting sandflies a few times when I was taking the lakeside slide shots.

Frederic, I love that cathedral. Looks a bit like Notre Dame?

Werticus, your wedding shot has really grown on me, nice job.

Thanks tuco.

The other weekend I tried out some Kodak 100 Tmax. Had a false start with this film a few months ago where I scratched the **** out of it when loading. But I tried it again and must say I am very impressed with the sharpness.

Did you use a colored filter on that lighthouse? The sky rendered with a nice, deeper tone. I've noticed with some of my shots from years ago using T-max developer that skies seem come out darker than when I use PMK for the same filter or not. So it looks like developer choice can be a factor.

The T-Max films seem to scan nicely too. I've started shooting them more often after a period of not using them much.

Great photos, though I don't know anything about Chevy/GMC trucks!

Steve
My dad owned that truck for many years. It was even that color.

Some amazing shots being posted on this thread. Great work everyone.
Haven't had my 67 out as much as would like to but I managed to shoot a roll of Tri-X a few weeks back.
Here's a few, both with 67 and 90/2.8 LS

I got a Fuji GW690II a little bit ago which is pretty amazing with a fixed 90mm f/3.5:

Though it and my Mamiya RZ died on a really windy beach in Big Sur (repaired the former and had to send in the latter).

Of course my Pentax digital clicked away happily while my 645N was back at home taking a break.

No, I didn't use a filter on this shot. I would guess that the harsh bright light on the lighthouse itself helped to contrast with the sky, so exposing for the white of the lighthouse resulted in a darker sky. I did accentuate the tone of the sky after the scan slightly but the deeper tone was already there. The Tmax seemed to pick up on the gradient of tones in the sky really well; I'd say more so than was noticeable to the eye.

I think I really need to get some coloured filters .

BTW, just to avoid confusion on this shot here, I used Ilford ID-11 in 1+1 @ 19 degrees C.

How do you like the Tri-X with the 67? It's one of my favourites now

cheers,
Jason

So far I'm really liking it. I have only shot 2 rolls with my 67, the first was with off camera flash setup and the second was outdoors on a bright sunny day. In both cases I could easily have used a 100 speed film but Tri-X seamed to work well any ways. The big downside was that I was fairly limited with my choice of aperture.

You snooze; you loose. A guy had laid his catch on the near end of the table and walked back to talk to the other people. I stood there for too long before I realized that might make an interesting picture. My gear was stowed in my backpack. By time I got it out and ready for the shot, he had moved the fish to the other end with the guy already cleaning a catch. I took the shot anyway.

I used the K-5 along side the 645d... I'm going to write another front page article comparing the two cameras.
