I don't remember if it's 1+4 or 1:4, but it's what the bottle said. Regarding the tones, I could have gotten them with any developer. It's just more or less work with the tone curve.

Yes it is 1:4 sorry. I know you do crazy curves adjustments - I tend to be more conservative

Didn't you put a "Matken Curve 101" post on the forum. I couldn't find it again?

What I meant was that if you want the same tonality, it's the curve thing you need to learn, not changing developer.

I did a post on curves, yes. But it was for a very special scene and not applicable in most cases.

I plan to write about curves on my swedish blog in a couple of days, and I'll post some of it here in english too.

Apology for the large size but this thing needs the size to see the hikers on the trail to the right side (glacier side) and the IMGWIDE tag is gone from the forum

Pano of 6 shots taken with Minolta Autocord - TMX In Tmax 1:9
I have to print it in really large but I start sweating at the cost of framing if I decided to.

Yoho Valley viewed from the Iceline Trail

If you have the occasion to come to the Canadian Rockies this is a trail that you need to do. Less people and a view....

Am at a very pretty place called Kufstein at the moment. Here are a couple of shots from the inside of the castle, one black and white during the day and one at night....

Both taken with FA 33-55 1st 55mm 6 secs @f/16 4 images merged 45mm at f/13 for 2, 8 15 and 30 secs. Found with a single image that the bottom of the lit area was blown out.

Luc, don't apologise when you post such a nice mountain shot

You should definately print it. I know what you mean about the framing costs though; the framing cost for a 16x24 has made me sweat before. But those feelings will disappear when you first look at the print all nice and mounted!

I think the problem with HDR, although I like the image, is that the evenness of the light takes some of the texture away. Here is a shot I took @ 33mm f/16 6 sec exposure. I've tweaked the levels a little...

Yes, I see what you mean about hdr leaching detail, although you applied it in a non obtrusive manner, I much prefer the non-HDR - on flickr in the large size, clicking back and forth between the two versions makes it obvious.

From my latest, a 1941 Kodak Monitor six-20 special

This 1941 folder from Kodak has a frame counter / auto stop / double exposure lock mechanism (mine will need cleaning); an Anastigmat Special 101mm f/4.5 4 element lens in a Supermatic shutter with speeds to 400 (mine only works on one speed regardless of shutter setting, so the shutter needs cleaning as well)... The view finder has manual parallax compensation. 620 film.

First roll, even with the one speed shutter the performance is good.

"100%" crop of the 1200dpi Epson 4490 scan

Fomapan 100 in D-76, this shot was @f/11

another "100%" crop, the lens has some resolution. The scratches on the film are because I forgot Foma is delicate and used a squeegee :cry:
