A book with 12 of my pictures taken with the 67II has just been released over here in Germany. Nothing spectacular. Excellently-written, though!

Les Jardins du Luxembourg - nice place to take pictures - you will be famous now
Is that the story of the gardens or a poetry book or .....

Next thing you know you will be hiking in the Australian Alps with full 67 gear. Awaiting to see the pictures

Cheers,

OK. It looks really similar to the purple and sometimes blue casts in shadows that I often get with Ektar 100.
I seem to find that Ektar is a bit fiddly to colour balance compared to some other colour films.
...

Recently I discovered that there's a couple of nice waterfalls relatively close to where I live. After getting used to almost perpetually dry conditions, It was something of a surprise.
I'll be returning to this spot to practice my compositions and long exposures soon.

Made it into a small outing of local film shooters; here's one of the other guys with his Mamiya 645.

Last light over Winderemere

Taken after the sun had set on my new FA 55-110 at 60mm, f/16 7 min30 expsure with ND400 (the one advantage of the thread of the lens is I now have two 82mm to use ND with!)

Haha thanks Luc Sounds like a good plan, but I might need to work on my fitness level before tackling any mountains with a 67 kit!
You might be waiting a little while.

I really like this shot, nice. The train shot is cool too.
And now to throw a spanner in the works - ever consider getting a film 645 body for B&W? Would complement the digital and use the same lenses

Robin, I invite you to get an old medium format camera and join in. I think you will like it!
Cheers.
I do own one and even bought all the darkroom material before I realised that practical considerations make development rather impossible here. But, lo and behold!, a new photo shop opened in town this month and they will be offering rented darkroom space. I may yet get back into film, though the practical reality of walking into town with my gear is off-putting.

But the truth is that, as I've become better with APS-C, I find it gives me what I need.

I have contemplated it often! Just need to relearn loading film in a different format! Probably will do it. which 645N would you reccommend?

Great! I'm sure you will learn to load the film quickly enough. Actually I have never used a 645 of any sort - my only experience with medium format is the pentax 67.
Someone else will probably be able to provide some real info on the 645s. But I think the 645N and 645NII could print the exposure data on the film edge, quite a cool feature. However the manual focus 645 (first model) is probably just as good for actually taking pictures with and I bet it's cheaper.

Consider a figital work flow. You don't need a darkroom to develop negatives and substitute a scanner for an enlarger.

Oh yes, that's what I would be doing. I've got the changing bag, scanner etc. The issue is that I live in Ireland with one bathroom in the house shared between myself and two women. And two cats. So taking over that one room for chemicals etc. isn't really going to happen! (I have a shed but no water flow there.)

The gear/chemicals doesn't take up much space at all (3-4 bottles and a tank with some lids and stuff), and the only flowing water you need is for the final rinse (at least for B&W), which is 20 minutes or so. You can as well use the "Ilford method" which consumes less water and takes less time. I'm doing the developing in my very small kitchen. The floor area is 2.30x1.0 meters and the free bench area is 0.6x0.6 meters, except for the sink. This even works for C-41 and E-6 with water bath and everything.

Edit: Heck, I had to take a pic... Welcome to my kitchen:

Now, if I can do sort of everything at this minimal area, you could do it too. If you want to, that is. The grey box on the floor is for the water bath and the bottles are the E-6 chems that I usually keep elsewhere.

Edit: By the way, the image was shot with Nikon D700 and an old Nikkor 24/2.8 AI @ f/5.6. The latitude in the shadows is just insane with the D700. The floor was lifted like ~3 stops at ISO 800 and there's hardly any noise at all.
The lens is great (and very small) as well, but I don't like the dull colors. They have to be tweaked quite a bit in post processing.
